Meet Dr. Bernard

Welcome to Rushford-Peterson Public Schools. I am very grateful for the opportunity to work with the students, staff, parents and community members that Rushford-Peterson Public Schools serve.

Having the opportunity to work in the Rushford-Peterson district holds a special meaning to me as I was a graduate of the district. After graduating from Rushford-Peterson, I attended St. Olaf College and studied biology and education. I then taught biology and physical science for ten years in North Branch, MN while earning a master’s degree in physics education from the University of Wisconsin River Falls. After the completion of the master’s degree, I enrolled in the University of Minnesota Educational Policy and Administration Ph.D. program where I also completed the K-12 principal and superintendent licensures. After completing the principal licensure, I worked for 14 years as the high school principal in St. Charles, MN.

Rushford-Peterson Public Schools is known for excellence in academics, activities and athletics. Our students, staff, and communities expect to compete and excel at the highest levels in each of these areas.

If you would like more information on how we as a district work to help students achieve their goals, please do not hesitate to reach out to me personally.
